ART JOURNEYS, Age 7-12, Saturdays

Fall Session Concluded: Journey 1 PORTRAIT STUDY

FOCUS: The Portrait Art of Modigliani, Picasso, Matisse, and Klimt

Students will explore the portraiture art of various artists then create their own work based on inspiration from the study. Various art techniques and media will be explored.

Winter Session: Journey 2 CANADA'S TREASURES

FOCUS: Artists and Inspirations of Canada

Students will explore Emily Carr, Maude Lewis, Group of Seven, and the variety of landscapes found across the country. From oceans to hoodoos to prairies and all the flora and fauna found in the many regions of our landscape, students will create a series of "wee works" that explore a variety of techniques and media.

FOCUS: Drawing, Painting, Observation

This session will take place both in the studio and outdoors in the surrounding neighborhood. A range of drawing and painting experiences will be explored. This is a great experience for all the little artists looking for full on creative exploration!
